Most keyboards, including pianos, feature 88 black and white keys that form the chromatic scale, spanning seven and a quarter octaves. These include 52 white keys, known as “naturals,” and 36 black keys, called “sharps.” The keyboard’s unique design enables musicians to explore a vast range of sounds across various musical genres.
